Cost Accountant

We are currently seeking a Cost Accountant for a direct hire opportunity for our client located in Garden Grove. This position will be working onsite. Strong manufacturing industry experience is required.  

Pay up to $95,000

Responsibilities for the Cost Accountant:

• Will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data about operational costs, including labor, material, and production costs.
• Responsible for developing and analyzing cost standards and coordinating inventory related activities with management, including analysis, reporting, cycle count, and inventory adjustments.
• Will carry out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis.
• Responsible for establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
• Responsible for account reconciliations 
• Responsible for preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management.
• Responsible for managing the company’s balance sheet and accounting books.
• Assist with supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditures

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance 
• 3-5+ years of experience in cost accountant roles, manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of inventory processes
• Intermediate Excel skills (vlookup/pivot tables)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
